POCATELLO – Idaho State University students will perform the popular children’s book “Miss Nelson is Missing” for two engagements as a Readers Theatre in the L.E. and Thelma Stephens Performing Arts Center on Jan. 29 and 30.
The performance starts at 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 29 and at 2 p.m. on Jan. 30 in the Rogers Black Box Theatre.
“Miss Nelson is Missing” is based on the popular children’s book by Harry Allard and James Marshall. This Readers’ Theatre tells the story of Miss Nelson who cannot control her crazy classroom because she is too nice. But when she disappears, her replacement is the mean, detention-loving, recess-canceling, homework-overloading substitute teacher Viola Swamp. With the “Big Test” approaching, students realize how much they miss sweet Miss Nelson and they’ll do anything to solve the mystery of her disappearance.
Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for children under 18 and $7 for ISU students. Tickets are available for purchase at the Stephens Performing Arts Center Box Office at 282-3595 or online at www.isu.edu/tickets.
