Free flu shots and traumatic brain injury screenings offered at ISU/Ada County Health Screening Sept. 18 in Boise

Flu shots and screenings for traumatic brain injury are among the free services offered at a community health screening Thursday, Sept. 18, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 707 W. Fort St., in Boise.

The screening is the first of six scheduled at various Treasure Valley locations through March for adults with no insurance or limited access to preventive health care. [Read more…]

Idaho State University PPSA Run for the Health of It event set Sept. 14 in Boise

Lace up your shoes and hit the Boise greenbelt Sunday, Sept. 14 for the annual Run for the Health of It 5k sponsored by the Professional Pharmacy Student Association at the Idaho State University—Meridian Health Science Center.

Idaho State University expands Physician Assistant Studies Program to The College of Idaho

Students attend orientation in newly renovated physician assistant studies classroom on The College of Idaho campus in Caldwell on Aug. 22.  Idaho State University expanded the program to C of I this fall, adding 12 seats.

Idaho State University has expanded its two-year Master of Physician Assistant Studies Program (M.P.A.S.) to The College of Idaho in Caldwell, adding 12 seats this fall to the existing 60.

The intent is to meet the continuing demand for physician assistants in the Northwest and improve access to health care in underserved areas, say officials from both institutions.
